Pre-visit Checklist for Horse Owners
Hello there, lovely horsey people!
Are you ready for me, as your therapist, to visit for my session with your beloved equine friend? Let's make sure everything's in order. Here's a friendly checklist to help you get sorted before the I arrive.
Appointment Confirmation
Double-check the appointment time and date. It’s always a good idea to give me a quick message to confirm, especially if there are last-minute changes. I will also need decent directions, especially if it’s my first visit. Please ensure that you’ve provided your mobile number!
Horses History
Have your horse’s medical history and any recent treatments handy. A quick rundown will help me, as your horse’s therapist, understand your horse’s needs better.
Clean and Comfortable Stable
Tidy up the stable or the area where the treatment will take place. Make sure it’s clean and free from any distractions or hazards.
Power availability
Please choose a location for our session that has a 13-amp power source/socket available so that I can use the PEMF equipment.
Horse Grooming
Give your horse a good brush. A clean horse is not only pleasant for me to work with but also helps me to see any physical issues better.
Feeding Schedule
Try to time your horse's feeding so they’re neither starving nor too full during the treatment. A peckish horse can be more cooperative.
Handling Gear
Ensure you have a halter and lead rope in good condition. You might need to hold your horse steady during certain parts of the session.
Calm Environment
If you have other animals, try to keep them away during the session. A calm environment helps your horse stay relaxed.
Questions and Concerns
Jot down any questions or concerns you might have. This is your chance to pick my brain about your horse’s wellbeing.
Payment Preparation
As your horse’s therapist I expect to be paid on the day of the session. Whether it’s cash or card, please have it ready to avoid any faff after the treatment.
Post-Treatment Care
Ask me if there’s anything specific you should do after the session, if you’re unsure. Some treatments might require rest or specific aftercare in which case I shall brief you.
Treats and Rewards
Have a few treats ready for your horse to reward them for being a star during the treatment.
Be On Time
Make sure you’re ready a bit before the appointment. Punctuality ensures the session starts smoothly.
